MOTA Joins Know Before You Fly
User Outreach Campaign Promotes Drone Safety
MOTA has joined the Know Before You Fly campaign promoting the safe and responsible use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
Know Before You Fly was founded by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International and the Academy of Model Aeronautics, in partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration to further awareness of drone safety.
MOTA offers a broad spectrum of consumer and commercial drones, from the paperclip-sized MOTA JETJAT® Nano, a featherweight toy for fun, to aerial platforms that make drone missions business-simple, such as GIGA™-8000 with optional DRONE HANDS™ Flight Management System for autonomous flight beyond line of sight (where permitted) and robotic payload handling.
MOTA will include a Know Before You Fly informational card in each box of its GIGA and Pro Live™ series drones.
“Drone use is growing rapidly, bringing a large number of people into aviation who have never piloted an aircraft,” said Michael Faro, president and CEO of Mota Group, Inc. “Know Before You Fly is a great way to give anyone who intends to operate a drone the information they need to do so safely.”
“The Know Before You Fly campaign continues to spread a culture of safety across the UAS community. MOTA’s inclusion of Know Before You Fly materials across its commercial UAS line highlights the rapid growth and collaborative and conscientious nature of this great industry,” said AUVSI President and CEO Brian Wynne.
MOTA’s work with Know Before You Fly complements MOTA’s FlySafely! program, which provides resources for novice recreational drone users. Support for these programs is part of MOTA’s ongoing commitment to worldwide UAS safety.
In addition to the GIGA-8000, MOTA commercial drone models include the GIGA-6000, Pro Live-5000, and Pro Live-4000.
