ComAv Wins Prestigious FAA Diamond Award
According to recent news articles, it appears that ComAv, a leading commercial aircraft asset management service company, was recently recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA awarded the company for excellence among the company’s aircraft maintenance staff and professionals.
The FAA’s Diamond Award of Excellence for Aviation Maintenance Technician Training, the agency’s highest recognition, was presented earlier this month to ComAv at its Southern California Logistics Airport facilities.
The company has been in existence for 19 years, and the recipient of the award in 12 of 13 years the award has been issued.
The award recognizes aviation companies and maintenance specialists that initiate highly effective training programs aimed at improving safety and technical knowledge that exceed standard FAA regulatory requirements.
“This recognition is really a testament to the hard work and dedication of our employees,” ComAv CEO Craig Garrick said in a statement. “That we can bring this recognition to our hometown in Victorville is an added benefit, and we are honored to do our part to help bring positive attention to the airport.”
Dr. Paul Foster, an aviation safety expert based at the FAA’s Riverside office, noted that only five other companies in the world had also received the Diamond Award 12 times.
