The small, highly cost effective, and very precise Real Time Kinematics (RTK) modules now support BeiDou. The firmware upgrade for NEO-M8P complements u-blox’s existing support for GPS+GLONASS satellite navigation systems. With this release, u-blox introduces 8 Hz RTK update rates for GPS, making NEO-M8P suitable for applications with high user dynamics.

Integrated real time kinematic algorithms bring centimeter level positioning accuracy within the reach of a wide range of applications, including unmanned vehicles and robotic guidance systems like tractors and robotic lawnmowers. The addition of GPS and BeiDou RTK support is particularly relevant for end products targeted towards the Asia-Pacific market.

Engineering samples can be ordered online. Customers that already have samples of NEO-M8P or the application board C94-M8P can access the new features by downloading the new firmware from our website. A final set of feature updates will be available in the third quarter of 2016 with mass production starting in Q4.
